What is CC cream?

I had this question a couple months ago and wanted to find out what the difference between BB, CC, and foundation is. Here is what I came up with..

CC cream helps with aging. There is normally a higher SPF in CC cream than in BB cream. Foundations usually don't have SPF at all! 

CC cream is less oily than BB cream and foundations. It also has a more matte texture. It conceals the appearance of blemishes and helps fade the look of marks from past breakouts. Mary Kay's CC Cream is made with an extract from willow bark, a natural source of salicylic acid. It helps to conceal dark circles and dark shadows as it blends with your skin tone. Also, I've noticed that it also hydrates my skin (for up to 10 hours!) without making it feel so oily. 

CC cream has color correcting properties to fight against redness and uneven skin tones. It also gives you more coverage that BB cream. Mary Kay's CC cream is oil and fragrance free as well (Like a lot of their products). It also brightens your complexion. The formula helps correct the look of skin discolorations and gives skin a more unified tone. It has vitamin E and a botanical extract to help calm and soothe skin. I read that it was even tested on women with rosacea and they even said it even helped with the redness in their skin. 

It is so lightweight! I love wearing this product to work because it gives great coverage without the heavy makeup look. Being a teacher, I try to stay away from a heavy makeup look on a day to day basis and so this is the perfect product to wear Monday through Friday. On weekends or other special occasions, I wear it under my luminous foundation for SPF protection (the foundation doesn't have SPF) and better redness coverage. 

To sum it up, I chose to use this product because of the SPF, it evens out my skin tone, helps with redness, hydrates my skin without making it feel oily and gives me great coverage without even feeling like I'm wearing makeup! Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush Review

Hey guys! Today i'm writing my first product review of Mary Kay's Skinvigorate Cleaning Brush. I tried this brush a little less than two months ago and the results have been amazing! I have always used the 3 in 1 cleanser, but these are my results after using the product for 3 weeks with the cleanser! I have been so happy with this! Its amazing what a little extra exfoliation can do for your skin! I am definitely a believer in this product. These pictures were used without makeup, sitting in the same room of my house, with the same lighting. It was hard just getting the exact same picture by taking a selfie! I can't wait to see how my face will look after consistent months of using this. I have hormonal and stress induced acne and my next step is to try the Clear Proof line. I already use the toner, I just want to see if it can prevent it somewhat! I also just read this article on the Mary Kay webpage that really promotes healthy living to help with skin! It specifically says that exercise can help with this problem! Why am I doing this?

Hi everyone! A few days ago I had an opportunity fall into my lap. My first thought when I was approached to sell this was, "Yea, right!" For myself, I was a believer in the Mary Kay products, but never thought in a million years that I would be the one selling it.

I have attended a few parties over the years and liked the products. My first experience was when I had a party with my good friend, Jessica. That was the first time I was introduced to Mary Kay. The second party I attended was at my sister in laws house. There I fell in love with  more products, but I never thought in a million years that I would be the one selling it until recently. Finally, my dear friend Siera started selling and my first thought was "Yes! Someone I know is selling and I can buy from her now."After learning even more about the products that Mary Kay sells and thinking about this for days, I just felt in my heart that this was the right decision to make.

Why was it the right decision?

Everyone that knows me, knows that I am not the sales type of person. I hate making people feel like they have to buy from me. I hate making people feel obligated to spend their money on a product that they don't want just because I asked them too. I don't feel that it is being a friend to someone and the last thing I want is to jeopardize any relationships. I would not be selling this product if I didn't believe in it. This was the right decision for me for two honest reasons, one - to be able to have income for when I finally become a stay at home mom and two - is to make others believe in Mary Kay just as I have. I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't doing this for the money, of course I am! There are many other companies that have sales consultants like Mary Kay, but none of them felt right at all. Mary Kay did. I am excited for you all to be apart of this journey with me. 

Why do I love Mary Kay?

I can go on and on telling you that this product is so wonderful and fabulous, but why would you believe me? You're thinking, "You just want to make some money, so of course you are going to tell me what you want me to hear." Seriously, there is no way I would do this if I didn't completely love this product. (If I could sell Lilly Pulitzer, I would totally jump all over that. I'm just waiting for a Lilly Pulitzer store to come to the Fayetteville area haha) 

Mary Kay has shown me numerous times that their products WORK! I can't even begin to tell you how good the eye makeup remover is, their CC cream, 3 in 1 cleanser, or their EYESHADOWS! And honestly, that does not even begin to scratch the surface of the products that I love. The eyeshadows glide on smoother than anything I have ever used and they stay on all day, the 3 in 1 cleanser makes my 'rush out the door look' easier than ever, and the CC cream always has the perfect match! I will post a blog later about my skin results from using the Skinvigorate cleansing brush. 

Why am I writing a blog?

Like I mentioned in a previous section, I am not the sales type! I am a believer in this product and want you to believe too. I am going to be posting reviews of products, makeup tips and other fun posts that you can read at your own leisure.
